Old School Powerboat Fun Run
Looking to organize a group of boats to make a fun run from John's Pass in Treasure Island FL to Sarasota FL and back the following day. Would like to have all boats with similar speed and length, that way no one gets left behind. The boats need to cruise at 50 mph and top out about 70mph. This is just a gage, not set in stone, all boats are welcome. The OSPFR will begin on a beautiful Saturday September 22 @ 9:30 by leaving John's Pass at Treasure Island Florida. We will run to Sarasota New Pass and hang at a local sand bar where you can beach or anchor your boat. After spending some quality time we will pack up and head to the Holiday Inn Sarasota-Bradenton by the way of the ICW, where we can check into our rooms and enjoy the pool and tiki bar on site. :drink1: The evening activities are up to the group to decide, we can go to Sarasota or just hang at the hotel. On Sunday @ 1130 we will have checked out and headed to another local popular boating spot. After spending time talking to the locals, the group will be leaving for Gators in beautiful John's Pass, where the OSPFR will come to a fitting end.
Please if you are interested please PM me. I need to know by the 10th what size boats and how many so we can reserve enough dock space.
The cost for the room: $99.00 + tax and $1.25 per foot boat parking.
