Posted July 29th, 2010 by theStockMasters... in Brunswick Corporation shares are up 12% today and in one year the stock has climbed 216% .A Brunswick is one of the few positive stories today impacting the market, and I'm sure we are all kicking ourselves for not buying the stock last summer when it was trading in the $3 range .

Found out that my prop was slipping about a week ago. Thought I would change the prop in the water but while removing my old prop 'something' in the aft of the prop feel into the water. Checked over the new prop and couldn't seem to figure out what feel and what difference it made, so I installed the new hub without the fallen object. The new prop seemed to work fine.

Pulled the boat out of water today and noticed that the edges around the lower unit (leg) around the prop is worn - seems like the prop may have had too much play and rubbed against the lower unit.

Checked the net and found out the item I lost was the forward thrust hub, which is basically a spacer. Other than being a spacer, does this hub do anything else (the name seems to imply is it important). Also do I absolutely need a new one or can I continue without? If I need a new one, can I use any spacer or is this really a very specific item?

Thanks

I used to be an avid poster here on Speedwake for many years, but my life has taken me in a different path. I still live and breath boats as I am still working as a paint tech in a very reputable marina here in CNY. One of the biggest changes in my life is that I have parted ways with my now ex. We had many problems that couldnt be rectified that realy nobody knew about. I now have a beautiful new bride to be someday. We have been together now for the better part of a year and a half. She is much into the performance boating scene, hence my disappearence from this forum. Im trying to win her over to the water zone, and shes comming around. I just wanted to introduce the new gurl in my life that has changed me around and made me the happiest Ive been in MANY years. Her name is Julie and I call her my Bany. There is a story to that I wont get into right now but its pretty cool between us. I love this woman so much. She is God loving, sweet, kind to others, caring, determined and sexy as hell!! I wouldnt know how to go about my daily routine with out her by my side.
